The Marist Brothers in Nigeria are engaged in extensive missionary work, primarily focusing on education, pastoral care, social justice, and community outreach. They operate 11 secondary schools, 4 primary schools, a university center, and various social works that support vulnerable groups such as children with disabilities and former leprosy patients. The mission is characterized by a blend of older brothers' experience and the younger generation's energy, creating a thriving environment for both education and vocational work.

Their approach is deeply rooted in humility, simplicity, and family spirit, with the goal of serving the marginalized, particularly through youth education and pastoral care. They emphasize servant leadership, inclusivity, and fostering a sense of community among those they serve, including lay partners and local communities.

The mission is continuously evolving, focusing on themes like community life, higher education, and integrating modern tools like digital evangelization to engage the younger generation and enrich outreach efforts.

The Marist Brothers’ educational approach is based on five core principles:

1. **Presence** – Being actively present with students, building trust, and showing care.
2. **Simplicity** – Living with humility and honesty, creating a genuine, straightforward learning environment.
3. **Family Spirit** – Fostering a sense of community and belonging, like a family.
4. **Love of Work** – Valuing hard work and personal responsibility.
5. **In the Way of Mary** – Following the example of Mary’s humility, faith, and compassion.

These principles guide their mission of educating the whole person, both academically and spiritually.
